Survey AI
Privacy Policy
What Survey AI collects, why, and what you can do about it.
Last updated August 6, 2026
Survey AI pays real money for market research. That means we have to know some real things about you: enough to match you to studies that will pay, enough to be confident you are one person and not fifty accounts, and enough to send you the money.
This policy describes what the app actually does, not everything a rewards app could conceivably do. If something here does not match what you see in the app, tell us and we will fix one or the other.
1. Who we are and what this covers
Survey AI is operated by Reward Rush, LLC ("Survey AI", "we", "us").
This policy covers the Survey AI mobile app and the Survey AI backend service the app talks to. Together we call them the Service.
It does not cover what another company does inside its own product. When you take a survey from our research partner, install a game you found in the app, sign in with Apple or Google, or receive money in a PayPal account, that company’s own privacy policy governs what happens on their side. Section 5 names each of them so you can go and read those.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, we are the controller of the personal data described here. If you are in California, we are a business under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA.
This policy is published at https://surveyai.io/privacy. Our Terms of Service are at https://surveyai.io/terms.
2. Survey AI is for adults only
You must be 18 or older to use Survey AI. We ask for your date of birth during setup, and setup stops there if the date you give is under 18.
We do not want and do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn an account belongs to a minor, we close it and delete what we hold, except records we have to keep for accounting (Section 6). If you believe a minor is using Survey AI, tell us by any of the routes in Section 14 and we will act on it.
3. What we collect, and what never leaves your phone
3.1 What you answer during setup
Setup asks you a short run of questions. It matters which of those answers leave your phone, so here is the split.
Stays on your device. How you heard about Survey AI, your promise to answer honestly, your answer to the attention-check question, and your progress through the practice surveys. The app keeps these in its own storage on your phone and does not send them to us. Deleting the app deletes them.
Sent to us when you create your account. Your gender, date of birth, postal code and country. Where a country does not use postal codes, the app skips the code and sends only the country.
We ask for those four because they are what makes a survey worth money. Researchers buy answers from specific groups — a study may only want women aged 25 to 34 in the United States — and without them we cannot tell whether a study is open to you.
3.2 Your account
You sign in with Apple or Google. There is no Survey AI password, and we never see the one you use with Apple or Google.
- From Apple or Google we receive an account identifier and, if you allow it, your email address.
- If you use Apple’s Hide My Email, the only address we ever get is Apple’s private relay address (something like abc123@privaterelay.appleid.com). Anything we send you goes through Apple’s relay, and we cannot see the real address behind it.
- Separately, you type an email address on the cash-out screen — the address your money should go to — and you can save it to your account. Having an email address on file is one of the requirements for cashing out.
3.3 Your phone number
Cashing out requires a verified phone number. When you enter your number we pass it to Twilio, which texts you a six-digit code. We store the number and the fact that it is verified. Verifying earns you a one-time $0.05 credit.
We do not text you marketing. Section 12 has the SMS details.
3.4 Photos of your ID — only when a cash-out needs review
Some cash-outs need an identity check before we will pay them. Not every one: our review system asks when a particular request needs it. When it asks, the app requests
- a photo of the front of a government ID — driver’s licence, state ID or passport — which is required,
- a photo of the back of that ID, which is optional, because passports have nothing on the back,
- a selfie, which is required.
You take them with your camera or choose them from your photo library. That is the only reason the app ever asks for camera or photo permission. You can refuse, and we then cannot verify that cash-out.
The photos ride along with that one cash-out request. We store them in our own Google Cloud Storage bucket, in a folder belonging to your account, and the cash-out record links to them so a member of our team can review it. They are used for that review and for fraud investigation, and for nothing else. They are never shown to other users and never sent to a survey or offer partner.
3.5 Your device, and information we get automatically
- A device identifier we create. The first time the app runs, it generates a random identifier and keeps it in your device’s secure keychain. It is not your phone’s serial number, advertising ID or any other permanent hardware id — we cannot read those. We use it for one thing: noticing when several accounts are being run from one device.
- App and OS information. Which platform you are on (iOS or Android), your OS version and the Survey AI version, sent when your account syncs.
- Your IP address and browser user agent. Sent to our research partner each time we load your survey list, because they use them to decide which studies are open to you and to catch duplicate or out-of-country respondents. Your IP address also reaches our servers, as it does with any internet request.
Survey AI contains no advertising or analytics SDKs. There is no ad network, no attribution SDK and no third-party analytics library in the app. Nothing in the app tracks you across other apps or websites, and the app never asks to. It also never asks for your device location: the postal code you type during setup is the only location information we hold.
3.6 What you earn and what we pay
We keep a record of each thing you complete and what it credited, your balance, and each cash-out request: the amount, the method, the email address you asked us to pay, the status, and any fraud flags our checks raised on it.
3.7 Messages to support
When you message support from Settings, we store the conversation with your account so that the next person to pick it up can see the history. Section 5 explains that a reply may be written with help from an AI service before a human sends it.
4. Why we collect it
- To run your account — sign you in, keep your balance, show your history.
- To find you studies that pay — your demographics and postal code decide which surveys you qualify for at all.
- To credit you correctly — an identifier travels with an offer link, so the game install and the milestones you reach come back attached to your account and not somebody else’s.
- To pay you — your payout email, and where a cash-out is flagged, your verified phone number and your ID photos.
- To catch fraud — several accounts on one device, one email address across several accounts, and the other patterns that would otherwise let one person be paid many times over. This protects the honest users’ payouts, so we are firm about it.
- To answer you — support conversations.
- To keep our books and meet the law — payout records, and anything a tax authority, regulator or valid legal process requires.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, our legal bases are: performance of a contract (running your account and paying you), legitimate interests (fraud prevention, and keeping the Service working and secure), consent (the camera and photo-library permissions, and asking us to text you a verification code), and legal obligation (accounting and tax records).
6. How long we keep it
- Your account and profile — while your account exists. Delete the account and they go (Section 7).
- Your earning history — while your account exists, then deleted with it.
- Cash-out records — kept after your account is deleted. These are our accounting records for money we sent, so we keep them, and they include the amount, the method, the payout email and the review outcome.
- Photos of your ID and your selfie — kept while the cash-out they belong to can still be reviewed or disputed, and while we may need them for a fraud investigation. Deleting your account does not automatically delete them. Ask us and we will delete them once the cash-out they support is settled.
- Support conversations — kept after account deletion, so that a dispute about a payment can still be reconstructed. Ask us and we will delete a conversation that is not tied to an open or disputed payment.
Deleting the account is not, on its own, enough to remove the leftovers — the ID photos, the selfie and the support history. Email support@rewardrush.io and say so, and we will handle those by hand.
7. Deleting your account
In the app: Settings → Delete account, then type DELETE. It happens immediately and cannot be undone.
Deleting removes:
- your account record and profile — gender, date of birth, postal code, country, email, phone number,
- your earning history and your progress,
- your in-progress and completed offers,
- your sign-in credential for Survey AI: the account itself is gone, not merely hidden.
Deleting does not remove:
- the record of cash-outs we have already processed, which we keep for accounting,
- the ID photos, the selfie and the support conversations described in Section 6, until you ask us to remove those too.
Any balance you still have is forfeited when you delete. Cash out first if you want the money. The app says this on the confirmation screen, for the same reason it is repeated here.
8. Your privacy rights, and how to use them
Wherever you live, you can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you and who we shared it with,
- give you a copy of it,
- correct it,
- delete it — in the app, or by writing to us,
- limit what we do with it, or object to a particular use.
California
You have the rights above under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, plus the right not to be treated differently for using them. Nothing about your balance, your surveys or your cash-outs changes because you exercised a privacy right.
We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is no "Do Not Sell or Share" choice to make. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes beyond those listed in Section 4. You may use an authorised agent, and we will ask for proof of their authority.
EEA and UK
You have the rights above under the GDPR, plus the right to data portability, the right to withdraw a consent you gave us (which does not undo what we did while it was in force), and the right to complain to your national data protection authority.
How to exercise them
Message us from Settings → Contact support in the app, or email support@rewardrush.io. Deletion you can do yourself in Settings.
We answer California requests within 45 days and GDPR requests within one month, and we will tell you if we need longer. We will ask you to sign in, or to confirm details that match your account, so that we do not hand your data to somebody else claiming to be you. Where the law lets us refuse — most often because we must keep a payout record — we will say so, and say why.
9. How we protect it
Your connection to us is encrypted in transit. Our database is not reachable from the app or from the internet directly: everything goes through our own server, which limits access to the people who need it to run the Service, review a cash-out or answer your support message. Sign-in is handled by Apple, Google and Firebase Authentication, so there is no Survey AI password for anyone to steal.
No service can promise perfect security, and we are not going to. If a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
10. Where your information is processed
We operate from the United States and we process your information there. The providers named in Section 5 are global companies, and they may process it on infrastructure in other countries.
If you are in the EEA or the UK, that is a transfer outside your country. Where a transfer needs a legal mechanism, we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses with the provider concerned.
11. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share it for advertising that follows you across other apps and websites.
- We do not ship advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.
- We do not ask for your device location.
- We do not use your information to train AI models of our own.
- We do not text you marketing.
- We do not show your ID photos or your survey answers to other users.
12. About the verification text
The only text message Survey AI sends is the verification code you asked for, and you ask for it by tapping Send code. That tap is your consent to receive it. Message and data rates may apply, and how many you get is up to you — one per code you request.
We do not send marketing or promotional texts, so there is no marketing list to leave. If you would rather not receive any text at all, do not request a code. You will not be able to cash out, because a verified number is one of the requirements.
Trouble with the code? Message us from Settings → Contact support, or email support@rewardrush.io.
13. Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we change the date at the top. If a change materially affects what we collect or who we share it with, we will say so in the app rather than hope you re-read the page.
14. Contact us
A person reads all of these.
- In the app — Settings → Contact support. It is a real conversation with our team, and the fastest route.
- Privacy questions and requests — support@rewardrush.io
- Everything else — support@rewardrush.io
If you need a postal address — to send a formal notice, for instance — ask at support@rewardrush.io and we will give you one.
